  • Background of Principals

    Gary Percefull is President of The Scissortail Group PR.

    Mr. Percefull has extensive experience in media and community relations. He has led the successful planning and execution of numerous marketing, media, political, community awareness, and public engagement campaigns in the Tulsa area.

    Mr. Percefull earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. He began his professional career in 1976 a feature writer and reporter for the Tulsa World covering government, politics and business. He also has written feature and news articles for several local, state, and national publications.

    In 1991, Mr. Percefull opened a professional writing and public relations consulting practice. The firm evolved to The Scissortail Group in August 2000, when it moved its offices from downtown Tulsa to old Red Fork in southwest Tulsa.

    Mr. Percefull is active in community affairs and he has assisted an array of non-profit organizations with public relations services. He has been recognized for volunteerism by several organizations. He serves on the board of directors of the Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa, and the steering committees of the East Tulsa Prevention Coalition, Tulsa Partnership for Early Childhood Success, and StepUp Tulsa!.

    In February 2003, Mr. Percefull was elected to a four-year term on the Tulsa Board of Education. He was reelected in 2007 and currently serves as President of the Board.


    Linda Jordan is Chief Executive Officer of The Scissortail Group PR.

    She has oversight and responsibility for the financial management of the Scissortail Group PR

    Ms. Jordan is a native Tulsan and graduate of Leadership Tulsa (Class XXVI). She was appointed to the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women in November 2005 and has just been reappointed as of August 2008. Ms. Jordan serves on the boards of  Tulsa Chapter of Association for Women in Communications and the Citizen's Advisory Panel for Sunoco, Inc. She is also the President of the Redfork Main Street Board of Directors.

    She has extensive experience in financial accounting, small business management, and volunteer and event coordination. In recent years, she has helped conceive and coordinate fund-raising and community awareness events for several local non-profit organizations including Citizen's Crime Commission, Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, and Tulsa International Route 66 Festival.
